Vegetable broth recipe are an excellent way to provide nourishment and are particularly beneficial for gut health. The nutrients from the vegetables are easy to digest and can provide a soothing and healing effect on the gut lining. Here's a broth recipe that includes various gut-friendly ingredients:

4 large carrots, chopped

2 onions, peeled and chopped

4 cloves of garlic, peeled and smashed

4 stalks of celery, chopped

2 cups of chopped green vegetables (e.g., broccoli, spinach, or kale)

1 sweet potato or yam, chopped

1 inch of ginger root, sliced

1 inch of turmeric root, sliced (or 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric)

8 cups of water

2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar

Fresh herbs such as parsley, thyme, or rosemary (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

Wash and chop all the vegetables. Don't worry about peeling or chopping them too finely - they'll be strained out at the end.

Place all the vegetables, ginger, and turmeric in a large pot.

Add the apple cider vinegar, which can help to extract nutrients from the vegetables.

Add the water. The water level should be about an inch above the vegetables.

Bring the pot to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for at least an hour, preferably two. The longer it simmers, the more nutrients will be extracted.

Optional: add herbs for the last half an hour of simmering.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer into a large bowl or another pot. Discard the solids.

Once the broth has cooled, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week or frozen for future use.

Enjoy a cup of this healing vegetable broth daily. It can be used as a base for soups, or you can drink it as is for a soothing and nutrient-rich beverage.

Remember, it's always beneficial to use organic vegetables where possible to avoid potential pesticide residues. Also, you can adjust the vegetables based on what's in season or what you have available. The key is variety, which ensures a broad range of nutrients.
